Today Miss Emma Hartnell-Baker, creator of our Speech Sound Pics is visiting us at Merinda State School! Miss Emma will be working in our class today and I know she will be most impressed with all your hard work being speech sound detectives and knowing your speech sounds in the clouds. Mum and dad can meet her too as we are hosting a parent information session in our Prep room from 3-4pm  this afternoon. Stay tuned for photos of Miss Emma’s visit. How exciting!

And watch out for that sneaky Speech Sound Frog!

Please remember that today we are wearing Purple for Epilepsy day. Bring a gold coin donation to help our school raise funds to support this worthy cause. Purple Epilepsy merchandise is available to purchase through the administration.

Our Dance Fever Showcase will be held this Friday 28th March at the Bowen PCYC. Students will need to arrive dressed in their costume at 6pm, ready to have their final finishing cotume pieces added.

Girls need their dress/skirt to wear under an apron and bonnet. Wear long white socks/shoes and hair in two plaits. Boys wear long black pants and a black shirt – we will add your sash and hat when you arrive.

Drinks and snacks will be available from the PCYC tuckshop. There will be a $2 per family entry fee to contribute to the hall hire.

We look forward to seeing everyone there – this is our first performance in Prep and we will amaze you with our groovy moves and jazzy steps!

Thanks to everyone who wore their orange attire to school to signify Harmony Day on Friday 21st March 2014. We looked like a bright bunch!
