Today we began painting our ‘Christmas Birds’. A lot of time and paper mâché glue has been put into the creation of our birds. Here’s a sneak peek,
Today Lachlan brought in two containers of sand to feel and compare in sharing time. One sample was from our Bowen front beach and the other from Whitehaven beach. This was an interesting discussion and we enjoyed feeling the sand.
Mmmm…today we sampled the tasty biscuits made by Lachlan and Green sheep. Delicious!

I want you to meet my family’s newest pet. His name is Jasper and he’s a Cocker Spaniel breed dog. So far he loves cuddles and rubs on his belly. Today’s writing warm up is going to be you writing me a wonderful description of Jasper. Please write big fat sentences full of glitter words!
On Wednesday as part of our ‘Prep for Prep’ transition program we had a visit from Netty and Denise from the School Dental clinic. Thanks for showing us the correct way to look after our teeth – having a practice on the big chompers was sparkling fun 😷

Today we had an exciting presentation by Bravehearts. We met Ditto the lion cub and he taught us some strategies on how to keep safe and protect ourselves.
Our maths investigation was based around the measurement concepts of length and volume. Students had to design a house for their teddy or stuffed friend applying and demonstrating their measurement skills. Have a look at the wonderful display homes we designed:
